Food & Beverage + + +
Dhara Dhevi has 10 FnB outlets offering such a diverse yet excellent range of cuisine from Thai to Chinese, Italian and French, the resort presents a culinary realm that is a destination on its own. The Chinese fine dining at Fujian is probably the best of its kind in Chiang Mai while The Grand Lanna and Allegro dish out the city's top Thai and Italian cuisine.
Spa & Wellness + + +
Within the monumental expanse of the Dheva Spa, one can indulge in a myriad of pampering options from Ayurvedic therapies to Thai massages. The art in the details of this grand space is truly mesmerising as wellness and opulence meld together in grand harmony to provide truly unforgettable experiences even for royally attuned expectations.
Service + + +
When the Dhara Dhevi opened as a Mandarin Oriental in Chiang Mai over a decade ago, it was poised to maintain pole position in the world of luxury hospitality with an unmatched opulence. Plagued by management issues ignited by a change of ownership in recent times, it is a pleasant surprise to note that service is still somewhat top notch, with nice touches like complimentary spa bath rituals delivered nightly.
Design + + +
As one approaches the resort for the first time, it is no exaggeration to state that the property looks more like a royal palace of yore than a luxury hotel. Today as an independent property charting its way through maintenance and operational challenges, it is still a spectacle to behold architecturally and a vision of grandiosity that inspire both awe and disbelief. However, the existing structures have seen better days and are due for extensive renovations soon.
