THE SIAM BANGKOK

Conceptualised by Krissada Sukolso in collaboration with celebrated interior/ landscape designer Bill Bensley, The Siam was raised from little more than imagination and a steely resolution to create a new hospitality landmark in a city renowned for hospitality landmarks. Perfectly stately yet alluringly lush, these are abodes of dreams in a city of endless revelries.

Chon Thai restaurant is always hard at work redefining traditional Thai cuisine with a modern twist. Degustation menus featuring well curated Thai flavours are periodically available at this riverside terrace. The Opium Spa has a most inviting reception space. There is also a Muay Thai studio where one can train with in-house experts before luxuriating in the spa with a well deserved massage.

The butlers of this property is one of the best in place where guests are capably looked after even when they are out exploring. Mine personally introduced me to several hallowed grubspots in the old quarters largely unknown to foreigners.

At first sight this black and white stunner looks like a restored grandee but it was actually raised from scratch and imbued with lushness by the creative team of Bill Bensley. Who can forget the water garden integrated with traveler palms or the fountain courtyard fringed by ferns? The suites are spacious, luxurious art deco inspired havens raised to indulge.
